Attorney General Ashley Moody has called on the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to clarify their stance regarding Florida's investigation into a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

In a memo dated September 23, 2024, Moody demanded that both federal agencies formally declare whether they intend to obstruct Florida’s investigation or deny access to related evidence.

"Attorney General Ashley Moody today is demanding that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Department of Justice formally declare if they will frustrate Florida’s investigation and prohibit access to evidence related to the second Trump assassination attempt," reads the memo.
