Members of the Michigan Judicial Council are seeking public feedback at their next meeting. The Council will receive written comments and oral testimony on its Strategic Agenda, Operational Plan, and 2023 Annual Report.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. It will be held via Zoom and livestreamed on the Court’s YouTube page. To provide oral feedback, participants must complete the meeting registration. Written feedback can be submitted through a provided form.

The Council is responsible for making recommendations to the Michigan Supreme Court on matters related to the administration of justice. This includes developing a strategic agenda for the judicial branch and suggesting proposals to enhance court operations.

Since its inception in April 2021, the Council has outlined a strategic planning process, identified its mission and vision statements, and established long-range goals for the judicial branch. In 2023, seven work groups were formed to advance initiatives from the 2022-23 Operational Plan. Currently, six additional work groups are working on initiatives outlined in the 2024 Operational Plan. Reports and recommendations are available on the Michigan Judicial Council’s webpage.
