The North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services (ND HHS) is seeking three Attorneys II to join its Legal Division. These positions will provide general legal counsel to various divisions, including the Behavioral Health Division and Life Skills and Transition Center, as well as sections within the Human Services Division such as Economic Assistance, Vocational Rehabilitation, Children and Family Services, Early Childhood, Aging Services, and Developmental Disabilities.
Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), requests for proposals (RFPs), software agreements, and providing advice on contracting processes and capital improvements. The role also involves securing accurate information for legal analysis, researching laws and regulations, drafting comprehensive analyses, and collaborating on special projects.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree with at least two years of experience practicing law. They must also be currently licensed to practice law in North Dakota. The position requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislative developments and court decisions affecting program administration.
