The Nebraska Attorney General’s Office has issued a warning to retailers and consumers regarding the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) recall of Diamond Shruumz products. The recall encompasses all Diamond Shruumz Microdosing Chocolate Bars, Infused Cones, and Micro-Dose and Mega-Dose/Extreme Gummies. Prophet Premium Blends, the product manufacturer, is cooperating with the recall.

In June, the FDA and CDC, in collaboration with America’s Poison Centers and state and local partners, investigated a series of illnesses linked to consuming Diamond Shruumz-brand Chocolate Bars, Cones, and Gummies. As of August, there have been 113 reported illnesses, 42 hospitalizations, and two potentially associated deaths.

The products are suspected to be contaminated or contain ingredients or dosages not reflected on their labels. Consequently, consumers have experienced adverse events after ingestion.

Consumers are advised not to ingest Diamond Shruumz products. Those who have already consumed these products should contact their medical provider. Any unconsumed products should be discarded or returned to the manufacturer for a refund. Prophet Premium Blends can be contacted at (209) 314-0881 for assistance with returns.

Retailers are instructed to remove all Diamond Shruumz products from shelves immediately. They should also inform customers who purchased these items not to consume them. Contaminated products that came into contact with Diamond Shruumz items should be quarantined and disposed of.

Nebraska retailers are entitled to refunds for these recalled products by contacting their sales representative. The Attorney General demands that all Nebraska retailers cease distribution, sales, and marketing of Diamond Shruumz products immediately to avoid legal liability.

Reports of continued sales in Nebraska can be made at ProtectTheGoodLife.Nebraska.gov or directly to the FDA through various channels including the poison center at 1-800-222-1222.
