Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced that investigators with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested seventy-eight-year-old William Campbell on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, for four counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

“The partnerships built by the ICAC Task Force across the state are clearly paying off,” said Attorney General Labrador. “Police departments, sheriffs’ offices, and other agencies are participating at levels we’ve never seen before, all in cooperation to keep kids safe from predators and those that would exploit them online.”

Agencies that assisted the ICAC Task Force included Lewiston Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, Idaho State Police, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Moscow Police Department, Post Falls Police Department, Latah County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, and Orofino Police Department.

Anyone with information regarding the exploitation of children is encouraged to contact local police, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit at 208-947-8700, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.

The Attorney General’s ICAC Unit collaborates with the Idaho ICAC Task Force—a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies—to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the internet to criminally exploit children.

Parents, educators, and law enforcement officials can find more information and helpful resources at the ICAC website: ICACIdaho.org.
