Providence man indicted on multiple drug and firearm charges

Jose Parra Reyes (age 58) of East Providence, Rhode Island, has been indicted by the Providence County Grand Jury on multiple charges. The indictment, returned on July 25, 2024, includes one count of possession of more than one kilogram of fentanyl, one count of possession of more than one kilogram of heroin, one count of possession of more than one kilogram of cocaine, four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, one count of possession of a stolen firearm, four counts of possession of a firearm with intent to deliver controlled substances, four counts of possession of a firearm while previously convicted of a crime of violence, and five counts of possessing a prohibited large capacity feeding device.

The alleged acts took place in the City of Providence on January 30, 2024. The investigation was conducted by the Providence Police Department.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on July 31, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.
