The Sarpy County Juvenile Drug Court will hold a graduation ceremony and celebration on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 3:30 pm. The event will take place at the Sarpy County Courthouse located at 1210 Golden Gate Drive in Papillion, Nebraska. District Court Judge Jonathon Crosby will preside over the ceremony.
The graduation marks the completion of an intensive program that includes comprehensive behavioral health treatment, intensive community supervision, and full accountability for participants. Problem-solving courts offer an alternative route through the criminal justice system for nonviolent drug-related offenders by utilizing a specialized team process within the existing court structure. These courts aim to reduce recidivism and substance use among individuals with substance use disorders while protecting public safety and increasing the likelihood of successful rehabilitation.
