The North Dakota Juvenile Court is seeking applicants for the position of Juvenile Drug Court Coordinator in Fargo, ND. This part-time, temporary role offers a salary of $20.00 per hour and requires a commitment of 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining files on all youth involved in the Juvenile Drug Court Program, contacting collaborating organizations, preparing progress reports for weekly review hearings, and maintaining statistical data and budget information required for program evaluation.
Additional responsibilities include assisting the Juvenile Drug Court Judge during review hearings, conducting orientations for new participants and their parents, coordinating graduations, purchasing supplies needed for drug court affairs, scheduling and verifying community service work for participants, and communicating with programs contracted to provide supervision.
Candidates must have a high school diploma; a bachelor's degree in social sciences such as criminal justice, social work, sociology or psychology is preferred. A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is also required.
The role demands confidentiality, the ability to follow set rules and relay instructions clearly, as well as effective interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of the public. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, feeling, reaching and fingering. The job may involve some travel and exposure to biological hazards during drug testing procedures.
