New York Law Journal Honors Dianna El Hioum With Distinguished Leader Award

Fox Rothschild congratulates Dianna G. El Hioum on her selection to the New York Law Journal’s 2024 list of Distinguished Leaders.

Part of the New York Legal Awards, the annual list recognizes attorneys “who achieved impressive results in the past year” and demonstrated “true leadership skills to help other attorneys get results.” El Hioum is among eight leaders named to the 2024 list.

As Fox Rothschild’s Chief Growth Strategist, El Hioum oversees the firm’s Strategic Growth Committee, which is responsible for expansion through lateral acquisitions in key markets. In the past year, her leadership was instrumental in opening our newest office in Sarasota, the firm’s 30th office location nationwide. She also broadened the scope of the IP practice with the addition of a patent attorney group in our Seattle office. Other lateral hires have expanded a range of the firm’s services, including corporate, litigation, tax and employee benefits practices, as well as international capabilities with the launch of our Italy Practice Group.

A former chair of Fox’s Intellectual Property Department, El Hioum has helped unite how the firm handles IP work and has been a driving force behind the team’s growth. During her time at the helm of the Department, she also created formal training and professional development programs for the firm’s IP attorneys and patent agents, many of which are available to our clients as well.

El Hioum’s legal practice focuses on global patent prosecution, licensing and opinion work. With a background in biotechnology, chemistry and large-scale drug manufacturing, she understands the development of products in the field of life sciences — from early-stage research and patenting to regulatory approval, production and marketing. She also handles intellectual property work in the area of shooting sports, including IP related to firearm mechanisms, components and ammunition.
