TOPEKA - (June 18, 2024) - Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced he has appointed Keith Mark to serve as an at-large member of the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission.

Mark is an attorney from Basehor. He is a lifelong hunter and the founder and president of Hunter Nation, an organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the hunting lifestyle and wildlife and habitat conservation.

The Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission’s mission is to conserve and enhance Kansas wildlife and habitats, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy those resources.

Lawmakers revised the appointment process for the seven-member Wildlife and Parks Commission in 2024. Previously, the governor appointed all seven members of the commission. As of July 1, the governor maintains four appointments to the commission, while the other three are appointed by the speaker of the Kansas House, the president of the Kansas Senate, and the Kansas Attorney General.

Mark is appointed to a two-year term on the commission.
