America First Legal (AFL) has announced its intention to pursue legal action in response to President Biden's recent executive order, which grants amnesty and a pathway to citizenship for a significant number of undocumented immigrants in the United States. AFL claims that this move undermines the efforts of those who immigrate legally and exceeds the President's authority.
Stephen Miller, President of America First Legal, stated: "In the middle of a raging deadly border invasion, on the heels of illegal aliens let into the country by Biden being charged with the most heinous rapes and murders of children and mothers, Biden has issued one of the largest executive amnesties in American history. Congress has, for decades, refused to grant citizenship to illegal aliens. Now, acting as a tyrant king, Biden is circumventing Congress and incinerating the Constitution to unilaterally grant a pathway to citizenship to what will amount to potentially millions of illegals."
Miller further elaborated that this includes individuals who are DACA recipients and those with online degrees or college diplomas from institutions he described as "diploma mills." He expressed concern that once these individuals are granted green cards, they will gain access to government benefits. Upon obtaining citizenship within five years, they would be eligible for welfare programs, voting rights, and chain migration opportunities.
