LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) - An aggressive online advertising campaign hides the fact that its products don't work, a lawsuit against a teeth-whitening company says.

A class action lawsuit was filed June 6 against HiSmile, Inc. by plaintiffs Aaron Jimenez, Robert Parham, Brittany Hodges, and Ralph Milan in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

The plaintiffs allege that HiSmile engaged in fraudulent marketing practices to promote its teeth whitening products, including the V34 Colour Corrector Serum, Glostik Tooth Gloss, PAP+ Whitening Strips, and PAP+ Whitening Pen.

The lawsuit claims that HiSmile's advertising involved fake before-and-after images, misleading celebrity endorsements, deceptive influencer marketing, and false claims about clinical proof and product efficacy.

The plaintiffs seek injunctive relief to stop HiSmile's alleged unlawful practices and monetary recovery for the amount consumers overpaid for the products. They argue that HiSmile's aggressive social media campaigns on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook have misled consumers into believing in the effectiveness of their products through falsified advertisements and reviews.
