LITTLE ROCK – Attorney General Tim Griffin announced the arrest of Kaylee Slaughter, 25, of Lepanto on one count of Medicaid fraud, a Class B Felony. In his statement, Griffin said: “Committing Medicaid fraud is an egregious affront to the hardworking taxpayers, but using a minor client as a vehicle to bilk Arkansans for thousands of dollars is despicable. I thank Special Agent Blake Hudson in my office’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit for his diligence to bring about this arrest. I am also grateful to the Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance in bringing her to Pulaski County to be arraigned, and to Pulaski County Prosecutor Will Jones’s office for appointing a member of my team to serve as a special prosecutor in this case.”
Slaughter was arrested on June 5 in Poinsett County. She was employed as a personal care aide for AllHeart Senior Care in Paragould and was assigned to care for a child and the child’s mother. Slaughter is alleged to have billed approximately 464 hours of services that she did not provide, including during times when the child was in the hospital or out of state. The total loss to the Medicaid program was $9,502.72.
Slaughter was arraigned on June 6 and released on a recognizance bond. Assistant Attorney General Gabby Davis-Jones will prosecute the case as a Special Deputy Prosecutor in the Sixth Judicial District Circuit Court.

Tim Griffin was sworn in as the 57th Attorney General of Arkansas on January 10, 2023, having previously served as the state’s 20th Lieutenant Governor from 2015-2023. From 2011-2015, Griffin served as the 24th representative of Arkansas’s Second Congressional District, where he served on several House Committees while also serving as a Deputy Whip for the Majority.
Griffin has served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps for more than 27 years and currently holds the rank of colonel. In 2005, Griffin was mobilized to active duty as an Army prosecutor at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and served with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Mosul, Iraq.
He is currently serving as the Commander of the 2d Legal Operations Detachment in New Orleans, Louisiana. His previous assignments include serving as Commander of the 134th Legal Operations Detachment at Fort Liberty (née Bragg), North Carolina, and as a Senior Legislative Advisor at the Pentagon.
Griffin earned a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College and has held various roles within government including U.S. Attorney for Eastern District of Arkansas and Special Assistant positions under President George W. Bush's administration.
Griffin is admitted to practice law in Arkansas (active) and Louisiana (inactive). He resides in Little Rock with his wife Elizabeth and their three children.
