The Department of Justice is in the process of drafting an Environmental Justice Strategic Plan, aimed at outlining the department's vision, goals, priority actions, and metrics to advance environmental justice. This initiative follows Executive Order 14096, titled "Revitalizing Our Nation's Commitment to Environmental Justice for All."

The DOJ is inviting public input on several questions to enhance its Environmental Justice Strategic Plan. There are four ways to provide feedback:

1. Email the Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) at OEJ@USDOJ.gov.

2. Complete the electronic survey available on the OEJ website.

3. Attend a virtual community listening session.

4. Participate in an in-person community listening session if one is scheduled nearby.

Draft goals and objectives for the DOJ's Environmental Justice Strategic Plan can be found on the OEJ website. The deadline for all comments has been extended to Monday, July 22, 2024.
