TAMPA, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - A Florida man is suing Texas Roadhouse after he says a piece of broken plate in his food caused him injuries.

Ricky Triplett filed a lawsuit April 16 in Hillsborough County Circuit Court against Texas Roadhouse Holdings LLC and Texas Roadhouse Management Corp., seeking damages in excess of $50,000.

Triplett alleges that he suffered significant and permanent injuries, including a broken tooth, due to negligence on the part of the defendants. He claims that he found a piece of plate in his food while dining at a Texas Roadhouse location in Riverview on December 25, 2022.

Triplett accuses the defendants of failing to maintain safe conditions at their premises and not adequately warning guests about potential hazards.

Marc Parish of Catania & Catania represents the plaintiff.
