ORLANDO, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - A Florida man says his leg was badly injured when a sharp metal object protruded through a booth at IHOP and cut him.

IHOP Restaurants, LLC and its general manager Nate Marshall are facing a lawsuit filed by Tom and Jennifer Pajevic March 11 in Orange County Circuit Court.

The lawsuit alleges that IHOP and Marshall were negligent in their duties to provide safe seating facilities at the restaurant located at 5463 Gateway Village Circle, Suite 105, Orlando.

The complaint details an incident during which Tom Pajevic was injured by a sharp metal object protruding from a booth's cushioned bench while exiting it.

The incident led to severe bleeding and permanent damage to his sacral nerve roots, the suit says. The plaintiffs argue that IHOP and Marshall should have known about the potential harm due to the defective condition of the booth and bench but failed to inspect or warn customers about it.

The case is being handled by The Law Offices of Todd S. Stewart, P.A.
