SAN DIEGO (Legal Newsline) - A class action lawsuit alleges Glad tricks recyclers into buying their bags, even though they themselves are not recyclable.

Craig Woolard, a resident of San Diego County, filed a class action lawsuit March 15 in federal court against The Glad Products Company and The Clorox Company.

The suit alleges that the companies made false advertising claims about their Glad Recycling Trash Bags.

Woolard argues that he relied on these claims when purchasing the product but did not receive the promised benefits or full value of his purchase.

Though they are designed to carry recyclable products, the suit complains the bags aren't fully recyclable. Several similar cases have been filed, including one that survived Hefty's motion to dismiss.

The case was filed by attorney Manfred P. Muecke of MANFRED, APC.
