ORLANDO, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - Litigation has followed a flag football game at the University of Central Florida, during which one player says he was struck in the face and injured.

A lawsuit was filed Jan. 16 against Zeta Beta Tau: UCF Delta Iota Chapter Inc., a fraternity affiliated with the University of Central Florida, by Tyler Reynolds. The plaintiff alleges that during an intramural flag football game in September 2023, he was violently struck in the face by a non-fraternity member and non-UCF student participating on the defendant's team.

This resulted in significant personal injuries to Reynolds, he says.

Reynolds claims that the fraternity allowed non-members and non-students to participate in the games to gain a competitive advantage. He is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for his pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, loss of earning capacity, and medical expenses among others.

The case was filed in Orange County Circuit Court. Tyler R. Kobylinski from Morgan & Morgan P.A. is representing Reynolds in this lawsuit.
