Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has successfully obtained an injunction pending appeal against the Biden administration, preventing the federal government from continuing to destroy vital border barriers in the state. These concertina wire barriers were put in place by Texas in response to the influx of unvetted foreign aliens entering the state.

Previously, a federal district court had ruled that the Biden administration enjoyed sovereign immunity, allowing Border Patrol agents to resume the destruction of Texas-owned barriers. However, Attorney General Paxton immediately appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. The court concluded that the federal government was not immune from suit and issued an injunction, prohibiting Biden's border agents from damaging or interfering with Texas's concertina wire fence while the issue is being litigated.

"I am very pleased the appellate court has forbidden federal agents sent by the Biden administration from destroying our concertina wire fences," said Attorney General Paxton. "Given the ongoing disaster at the southern border due to the federal government's intentional actions, more than ever it is necessary to take every step we can to hold the line. I will continue to fight against the Biden administration's radical policies and work to make Texas a safer, more secure place to live."

The Office of the Attorney General, along with co-counsel the Texas Public Policy Foundation, will continue to defend Texans from the dangerous consequences of the Biden administration's open borders policies.

This injunction is a significant victory for Texas, as it ensures that the state's border barriers remain intact while the legal battle continues. The destruction of these barriers by federal agents would have undermined Texas's efforts to secure its borders and protect its residents from the influx of illegal immigration.

Texas has been at the forefront of the immigration debate, with its proximity to the southern border making it particularly susceptible to the consequences of lax immigration enforcement. Attorney General Paxton's successful injunction is a testament to the state's commitment to upholding the rule of law and safeguarding its citizens.

The Biden administration's open borders policies have been widely criticized for their impact on border security and public safety. The influx of unvetted foreign aliens has placed an enormous strain on border communities and law enforcement agencies. By securing this injunction, Attorney General Paxton has taken a crucial step in pushing back against these policies and ensuring that Texas remains a safer and more secure place to live.

As the legal battle continues, it is evident that Texas is determined to stand up for its rights and protect its borders. The fight against the Biden administration's radical immigration policies is far from over, and Attorney General Paxton's efforts serve as a beacon of hope for those who believe in the importance of strong border security.
