Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that it has expanded its intellectual property litigation team in Delaware with the addition of Silicon Valley partner D. Stuart Bartow. Bartow will maintain a presence in both California and Delaware. Bartow is the second addition to the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in Delaware in the past three years. In 2021, Duane Morris added former patent judge Monté T. Squire from the USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Bartow, who has a background in computer engineering, has served as lead counsel to clients in semiconductors, electronics and software over the course of his nearly 20 years of practice in Silicon Valley. “I have spent a lot of time in the federal courthouse in Wilmington over the course of many years and have developed many friendships in the Delaware legal community,” said Bartow. “I am honored to now be permanently admitted in Delaware and thrilled to be joining this talented and collegial bar.”

Duane Morris IP Practice Group chair Louis Norwood (Woody) Jameson stated, “Having Monté and now Stuart on board in Delaware gives us a full-service, highly capable trial team on the ground in Wilmington to support all aspects of patent litigation in that district, as well as other forums, including the PTAB.”

Duane Morris Wilmington office managing partner Christopher M. Winter added, “There’s a great sense of momentum with the firm’s Delaware office and we continue to be able to grow and serve clients across a wide range of complex legal needs.”
