Attorney General Ashley Moody has recognized three outstanding women who have been inducted into the 2022 Florida Women’s Hall of Fame. The Florida Commission on the Status of Women honored Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, Lilly Pulitzer, and Audrey Schiebler for their significant contributions to the citizens of Florida. The induction ceremony took place at the Florida State Capitol and was attended by various dignitaries and officials.

In her statement, Attorney General Moody expressed her honor in inducting these remarkable women into the Hall of Fame. She acknowledged the extraordinary role that Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, Lilly Pulitzer, and Audrey Schiebler have played in the history of Florida and how they continue to inspire many Floridians today. During the ceremony, replicas of the plaques that will be displayed on the Hall of Fame wall in the Florida Capitol Rotunda were presented to the inductees, their surviving relatives, or their representatives. Additionally, they received an American flag that had flown over the U.S. Capitol. The event featured celebratory videos and remarks highlighting the accomplishments and contributions of each inductee to the lives of Floridians.

The Florida Women’s Hall of Fame, established in 1982, aims to recognize and honor women who have made significant contributions to the improvement of life for all Floridians. The Hall of Fame boasts an impressive list of past inductees, including former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, singer Gloria Estefan, tennis athletes Chris Evert and Althea Gibson, and pilot Betty Skelton Frankman, among others.

The newly inducted members, Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, Lilly Pulitzer, and Audrey Schiebler, now join the esteemed group of women immortalized on the walls of the Florida Capitol and in state-of-the-art video kiosks. Visitors can view all the Hall of Fame members on the Florida Women’s Hall of Fame website or at the Capitol Rotunda.
