ORLANDO, Fla. (Legal Newsline) — The parents of a 9-year-old boy blame an Orlando motocross park for injuries he sustained when another bike landed on him.

Cameron J. Pappas and Kristin Hamilton, as parents and natural guardian of Elihah Pappas, filed a complaint Oct. 19 in Orange County Circuit Court against Orlando MX Park LLC, alleging negligence.

The Pappases, according to their complaint, were at Orlando MX Park on Dec. 4, 2022. They allege that their son, Elijah, who was nine years old at the time, was running a minibike with other 6-to-10 year old minors when a motorbike ridden by an adult landed on him.

The Pappases claim that the accident caused one of their son's fingers to be amputated. They allege the defendant's negligence for failing to have adequate staff on duty to help maintain a reasonably safe condition on the premises.

The plaintiffs also allege the defendant was negligent for failing to properly train its employees and failed to guide adults or people with bigger motorbikes to ride on a different track.

The Pappas seek monetary relief of more than $50,000, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Barry Mittelberg and Lizzie Ramos of Barry S. MIttelberg PA in Coral Springs.
