Troutman Pepper’s Virginia office managing partners, John Ramirez and Brooks Smith have once again been named to the Virginia 500: The 2023-24 Power List. The annual list, published by Virginia Business, recognizes the state’s “most powerful and influential leaders in business, government, politics and education.”
Now in its fourth year, the list includes 500 Virginia business executives who were selected across 19 major sectors, ranging from real estate and manufacturing to higher education and federal contracting. Both Ramirez and Smith have been included in the list since its inception.
“We are both humbled and honored to be recognized in the Virginia 500,” Ramirez said. “This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of our dedicated team at Troutman Pepper. As a firm, we are committed to providing exceptional legal counsel and contributing to the vibrant business community in Virginia.”
Ramirez manages Troutman Pepper’s Virginia Beach office and serves as general outside counsel to local and national businesses. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and limited liability company matters.
“This acknowledgment underscores Troutman Pepper’s commitment to excellence,” Smith said. “We are proud to lead a team that consistently strives to make a positive impact on the legal landscape in Virginia and beyond.”
Smith manages the firm’s Richmond office and is involved in cutting-edge environmental and natural resources proceedings in Virginia and around the country, including litigation, enforcement defense, project development and compliance counseling.
