BOSTON (Legal Newsline) — A City of Boston health division worker alleges she suffered discrimination and harassment due to her sex.

Diane Chalifoux-Judge filed a complaint April 5 in the Suffolk Superior Court against City of Boston and Health Division of Inspectional Services Department (ISD) alleging retaliation and other claims.

According to her complaint, the plaintiff, 67-year-old female, is a principal health inspector for ISD in Boston. She claims that despite having an "exemplary career" at the ISD for 26 years and having more relevant degrees and experience than her coworkers in the ISD, she was repeatedly passed over for job promotions.

She further claims the ISD promoted less qualified and experienced white male employees and that she also was subjected to a hostile work environment. The plaintiff alleges that she faced harsh treatment, including disparaging and demeaning treatment by her male supervisors. She also claims she was humiliated and belittled in front of her colleagues, faced micromanaging and being falsely accused of wrongdoing and poor performance. The plaintiff alleges she has suffered damages to her career, economic damages and emotional distress.

The plaintiff trial by jury, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Madison Bader and Nicholas Carter of Todd &. Weld LLP in Boston.
