Ballard Spahr Litigation Partners Mark R. Gaylord and Melanie J. Vartabedian have been named Top 25 Attorneys of Utah by Attorney Intel, a legal industry research and information firm.

Mr. Gaylord is the former Managing Partner of Ballard Spahr's Salt Lake City office. He focuses on complex civil litigation, at both the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts throughout the United States, with an emphasis on corporate business litigation, land use and development disputes, and construction matters.
Ms. Vartabedian handles complex commercial litigation matters, focusing on consumer financial services litigation, receivership matters and securities litigation, real estate disputes, and diversity and inclusion counseling. Ms. Vartabedian has litigated cases in state and federal courts across the country. She also has experience representing clients in arbitrations and government investigations.
