Winston-Salem Partner Don Pocock Appointed Section Leader for American Bar Association's Content Management Committee

Solution

Winston-Salem partner Don Pocock has been appointed by the American Bar Association's (ABA) Litigation Section as section leader of the Content Management Committee. Pocock will serve for the 2022–2023 bar year beside Managing Directors the Honorable Michelle Childs, Beth Fenton, John Hutchins, and Section Chair Danny Van Horn.

Pocock will sit on the committee as section leader and implement the goals and strategies of the section’s Strategic Plan that goes into effect in 2023. Sitting on this committee will allow Pocock to plan, brainstorm, collaborate, and network with committee leaders and members of the ABA. In addition to this, Pocock will participate in the ABA's second annual Diversity Leadership Training, which is outlined in the section's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan.

Pocock's areas of practice at Nelson Mullins include business litigation, construction law, creditor’s rights and insolvency litigation, and consumer financial services litigation.

The ABA is a bar association of lawyers and law students, which is not specific to any jurisdiction. Founded in 1878, the ABA's most important stated activities are the setting of academic standards for law schools and the formulation of model ethical codes related to the legal profession.
