Fox Rothschild Counsel R. Taylor Speer was named to the Board of Directors for the Conservation Voters of South Carolina, a bipartisan nonprofit that aims to hold South Carolina legislators accountable for their conservation votes and actions.
The mission of CVSC is to make conservation and environmental issues a top priority among South Carolina’s elected leaders, political candidates and voters by advocating for clean air, land, water and energy through political action.
Counsel in the Energy & Natural Resources Practice at Fox, Speer advises and litigates for clients on renewable energy matters. He has represented a diverse group of energy sector clients, including major ratepayers, solar developers and special interests, in multiday trials before the South Carolina Public Service Commission. He also appeared in Duke Energy's first-ever fully-litigated Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) trial in South Carolina and represented a public entity in its proposed development of utility-scale solar.
