Stegmaier helps organizations with all aspects of collecting, using, sharing and protecting information and has worked on consumer products used by hundreds of millions of consumers, including digital health, adtech, e-commerce and fintech. He also provides valuable advice to clients responding to privacy and data security-related crises. “Information is the asset class of the 21st century, and now is an exciting time to help our society use it responsibly and ethically,” he notes.
This is but one of several recent accolades for Stegmaier’s data privacy- and security-related work. In the last year, he was named a BTI Client Service All-Star; he was ranked in Chambers Global as well as in Chambers USA; and he was recognized by Who’s Who Legal.
In determining its list of honorees, Washingtonian “sought out people with deep subject-matter knowledge, the ones who understand the nuances and complexities of how and where laws affect business, government, and society.” According to the magazine, these are the experts and advocates outside of the government who will be shaping policy debates for years to come.
