Gary Marsh, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s Financial Restructuring + Insolvency Practice Group, will receive the 2021-2022 Distinguished Adjunct Teaching Award from Emory University School of Law at their 2022 Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Marsh, who earned his JD from Emory Law in 1985, serves as an adjunct professor in bankruptcy law with the university. This is only the second year the law school has bestowed the award.
A veteran restructuring attorney, Marsh is focused on all aspects of bankruptcy, workouts, debtor and creditor law, and general commercial litigation. He represents debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings, and litigation. He also represents court appointed receivers, examiners, and trustees.
Marsh has received several accolades over the years, including recognition by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America®, and Georgia Trend Magazine, among other industry authorities. He is a fellow with the American College of Bankruptcy; a director of the American Board of Certification, the Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute, and the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal; and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.
