BALTIMORE (Legal Newsline) - A personal injury law firm is off to court against one of its own clients it says refuses to get moving on a $50,000 car wreck settlement.

ChasenBoscolo Injury Lawyers filed a lawsuit April 18 in Maryland federal court against Kilee Bough, a former client it represented in car wreck litigation in Baltimore. The firm says it was entitled to 40% of the gross amount recovered, which ended up being $50,000.

But the firm says it has been "unable to adequately answer several of Defendant Bough's questions, resulting in Defendant Bough's refusal to execute the general release or settlement sheet."

And despite a Feb. 9 order by a judge enforcing the settlement, the issue persists, the firm says. It wants the federal court to declare the settlement enforced so it can be paid $20,000 in fees, plus $3,785.16 in costs.

After payment to medical care providers and Medicare, Bough would be left with $22,886.60.
