Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Alison Lecker, member of the firm’s Environmental Law Practice, has been named to Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty list. The list recognizes 40 Philadelphia professionals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated business success, community involvement, and leadership ability, and have had a major impact on the Philadelphia region. The Philadelphia Business Journal will recognize Lecker’s career accomplishments at its May 19 award ceremony at Rivers Casino Philadelphia.

Over the last two years, Lecker has solidified her role as lead outside environmental counsel to several of Cozen O’Connor’s largest clients, including Utz Quality Foods, LLC, The Giorgi Companies, Perdue AgriBusiness, and Acreage Holdings, Inc., among others. These companies rely on Lecker to review environmental compliance records, audits, and permits, supervise site testing and remediation, draft purchase agreements, and communicate with state and federal regulators. Lecker’s prior experience as Assistant Regional Counsel at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 3 is particularly valuable in helping her clients manage their environmental liabilities and implement environmental compliance programs.

Lecker is a founding member of Cozen O’Connor’s pro bono Name Change Program and has dedicated more than 160 hours over the last two years to helping low-income transgender youth change the name and sex listed on their government-issued documents to match their gender identity.

In 2021, Lecker was selected to join The Forum of Executive Women’s Mentoring Program, a 10-month program designed to elevate the leadership skills of emerging women leaders who have the desire and potential to advance in their careers. She is also an active member of the Cozen O’Connor Women’s Initiative (WIN), a group dedicated to the hiring, retention, and promotion of female attorneys at the firm.
