Jones Day has once again been recognized as one of the world's leading firms for international arbitration in the 2022 edition of the Global Arbitration Review (GAR) 30. This is the seventh consecutive year in which the Firm has been included in the prestigious ranking. Jones Day jumped five spots to 11th place, up from 16th place last year.

"This ranking confirms our Firm's paramount commitment to its clients and is a testament to the strength of our arbitration practice around the world, the exceptional talent we have assembled in this field, and the hard work and dedication of our entire team," said Greg Shumaker, who leads the Global Disputes Practice. "Our clients continue to express confidence in our lawyers, and we are grateful to have their trust as we work together to resolve complex, high-value disputes wherever they arise. We look forward to building on this exciting trajectory."

"Major commercial disputes, whether domestic or international in scope, are commonly resolved through arbitration," said John Majoras, who co-leads the Business & Tort Litigation Practice. "We are pleased to offer our clients demonstrated experience and success in that forum."

With an integrated team of lawyers in 42 offices across five continents, Jones Day has one of the largest disputes practices in the world. Year after year, the Firm's top-rated arbitrators are singled out by peers, the media and, most importantly, clients, as among the best, most effective, and most experienced lawyers across the board.

GAR bases its rankings on an evaluation process that includes, among other factors, the number of arbitral hearings conducted over a two-year period, the amounts at stake in a firm's international arbitration portfolio, the billable hours devoted to international arbitration, and a firm's market reputation as shown by client and peer reviews.
