ORLANDO, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - A lawsuit against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts says a man was injured when the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride broke down.
Wilfred Galloza Acevedo filed suit March 29 in Orange County Circuit Court over an injury he says he suffered at Magic Kingdom in May 2018. He says the Mine Train came to a sudden halt while he was aboard.
"As the ride could not be fixed or moved, Plaintiff was instructed to climb out of the ride where the ride broke down," the suit says. "As the plaintiff exited the ride vehicle, he sustained injuries due to the physical demands of exiting the vehicle."
The problems began while boarding, which Disney required passengers to do while the cars were moving, the suit says.
"This procedure created a rushed boarding process leading to the foreseeable result of guests falling or becoming trapped by the safety bar while boarding the vehicle," the suit says.
Attorney Brian Davis represents Acevedo.
