Holland & Knight Welcomes Elizabeth Craddock to Public Policy & Regulation Group in Washington, D.C.

Government relations Partner Elizabeth "Liz" Leoty Craddock has joined the firm's Public Policy & Regulation Group in Washington, D.C. Ms. Craddock helps corporations, industry organizations, trade groups and nonprofit entities develop, negotiate and pass legislation critical to their success, and navigate matters before the federal government. She was formerly a partner with Jones Walker and joins recent new Partner James Noe, also from Jones Walker.

Ms. Craddock focuses on the areas of energy, environment, natural resources, agriculture, climate change and trade policy, as well as social justice ethics, sanctions and governance issues. Known for her bipartisanship, strategic thinking and ability to manage the practical aspects of the legislative process, Ms. Craddock has facilitated the enactment of hundreds of legislative bills.

"Liz brings two decades of legislative and private sector experience to our Public Policy & Regulation Group and has strong bipartisan relationships with members of Congress and their staff," said Rich Gold, leader of Holland & Knight's Public Policy & Regulation Group. "Her experience representing clients on critical issues involving energy and trade policy is especially relevant given the turmoil we are seeing at the moment."

Ms. Craddock was previously vice president of government affairs for the International Association of Drilling Contractors, where she created, developed and implemented the association's government relations programs and strategies at the state and federal levels. She finished her Senate career as the first female staff director of the U.S. Senate Energy and National Resources Committee under Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.). Before that, she served as Sen. Landrieu's legislative director and counsel, and also worked in the U.S. House of Representatives for Reps. Karen Thurman (D-Fla.) and Dale Kildee (D-Mich.) as well as for the House's Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Ms. Craddock earned a J.D. degree from Tulane University Law School and B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Florida.
