Morgan Lewis issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.
Morgan Lewis has again been named a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), having received a perfect score on the foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
The annual CEI report evaluates US businesses’ LGBTQ+ policies and practices across four central pillars: non-discrimination policies across business entities; equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families; support for an inclusive culture; and corporate social responsibility.
“At Morgan Lewis, we take deliberate action to respect, value, and celebrate what makes us all unique,” Firm Chair Jami McKeon said. “It is only when we all are united in our efforts that meaningful progress toward creating an equitable workplace can become a reality. We are proud to be recognized among companies who are devoted to a common goal of creating policies that foster an inclusive environment.”
For more than a decade, Morgan Lewis has been recognized by the HRC for the firm’s dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture through initiatives like the LGBTQ+ Lawyer Network—one of nine groups in the firm that promote career development and ensure equitable opportunities for all of the firm’s talent. In collaboration with the firm’s pro bono practice, the network regularly takes on LBGTQ+ civil rights and immigration cases.
