Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP issued the following announcement on Jan. 25.
Brett Tarver, an associate in Troutman Pepper’s Health Sciences Litigation Practice Group, was named among Georgia State University’s 2022 class of outstanding alumni under the age of 40. The 40 Under 40 program honors, recognizes, and celebrates the most influential and impactful Georgia State graduates who embody the values of the university.
In announcing the honorees, Georgia State President M. Brian Blake said, “These remarkable young Georgia State alumni are doing incredible work in the world, and I’m excited to see the meaningful contributions they’ll make going forward. Congratulations to this exceptional class of Panther leaders.”
Tarver, who graduated from Georgia State College of Law in 2012, primarily defends pharmaceutical and medical device companies in litigation involving mass tort, personal injury, and wrongful death claims in state and federal courts across the U.S. She has experience serving as trial counsel for a global tobacco manufacturer in trials across the country, from Massachusetts to the U.S. Virgin Islands, and is regarded as an up-and-coming trial lawyer in the defense bar. Pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers facing tort claims rely on Tarver to advocate in their defense throughout the life of a case, from the initial complaint through the verdict at trial.
Tarver routinely publishes and presents at continuing education seminars and on interactive webinars regarding issues pertinent to defense-of-products cases. Her community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and as a Barrister with Lamar Inn of Court. Her commitment to DRI, the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel, includes serving as Vice-Chair of DRI Young Lawyers Committee and as a member of the DRI Drug and Medical Device and Products Liability Committees.
