Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.
Daniel Amato joins the firm as a partner in Orrick’s Direct Lending practice.
He joins Orrick from Kirkland & Ellis.
Dan is Orrick’s seventh direct lending partner in the U.S. and 15th globally.
Dan advises direct lenders doing secured loan transactions, including leveraged buyout financings, asset-based lending, debtor-in-possession financings and other restructuring-related financings.
“The direct lending market continues to flourish, with 2021 deal activity exceeding pre-pandemic levels,” said B.J. Rosen, Orrick’s Global Head of Direct Lending. “Orrick’s clients tend to be among the most sophisticated in the market, so finding a talent of Dan’s caliber was a must. Our team is elated to welcome him.”
Dan follows the arrival of debt finance advisor Adam Ross, who joined the firm in November from Fried Frank. He is the 7th addition to Orrick’s New York office this year, including new talent in the areas of capital markets, tech companies group, IP licensing and tech transactions, and life sciences.
