Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.

Jim Rosener, a partner in Troutman Pepper’s New York office, has received the American Society of the French Legion of Honor’s 2021 Medal for Distinguished Achievement. Rosener is recognized for his impressive international legal career and for the pro bono work he has done for the Society to bring the organization current with 21st century legal standards. He joins a prestigious list of distinguished individuals who have been honored in the past 55 years, including Evelyn and Leonard Lauder, Walter Cronkite, Ellsworth Kelly, Michel David-Weill, and George Schultz.

“The Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the American Society of the French Legion of Honor is very proud to present the Medal for Distinguished Achievement to Jim Rosener for his continued support of French culture in America, and for his dedication to the memory of those military personnel who died protecting American allies,” said Elodie Massaro, the Society’s executive director.

Rosener focuses his practice on domestic and international transactions and corporate finance. He advises private equity funds and corporations pursuing growth in the U.S. and throughout the world, including Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Rosener is president and a founding member of the European American Chamber of Commerce New York (EACCNY) and a founding member and chairman of the Board of the American Battle Monuments Foundation.

Rosener was honored at the Society’s Nov. 16 award ceremony at The Links Club in Manhattan. The Society was founded in 1924 and provides educational grants and hosts events to promote friendship between France and the United States. It works to preserve the legacy of the French Legion of Honor, France’s highest and premier award.
