Louisiana State Bar Association issued the following announcement on Nov. 4.
The LSBA is accepting applications for the LIFT Legal Incubator Flood Proof Project to address legal needs for people affected by the 2016 flooding in Baton Rouge and Hurricane Ida. The incubator is for new or transitioning attorneys starting their own solo, small firm, or nonprofit practice. Attorneys receive free access to case management software and legal research programs, as well as a $7,000 stipend, training and mentorship. The Baton Rouge-based project is made possible through a collaborative effort between SLLS, SULC, LSU Law School, and the ABA Center for Innovation. The application deadline is Wed., November 17, 2021.
