MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (Legal Newsline) -- A man is suing a restaurant in Arkansas court, claiming the death of his loved one was the direct result of her falling at the establishment.

Joseph Patterson, as personal representative of Mildred L. Patterson, deceased, filed a complaint on August 31 in the Circuit Court of Baxter County against Skipper's Restaurant for wrongful death and negligence.

According to the complaint, Mildred L. Patterson was a patron of Skipper's Restaurant located in Mountain Home on June 11, 2020. While Mildred Patterson was allegedly exiting the restaurant, she fell on the front sidewalk. Joseph Patterson alleges that she died three days later as a direct result of her injury obtained from the fall at the restaurant. Joseph Patterson alleges that Mildred's falling was the direct result of negligence by the restaurant, and its owners.

Patterson is representing himself.
