Littler Mendelson issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.
William Ng, a shareholder in the Long Island office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been selected as a recipient of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Best Under 40 Award.
“William is a talented employment attorney who is continuing to make an impact on the legal profession, as well as the Asian American and Pacific Islander community,” said John Bauer, Long Island office managing shareholder. “On behalf of the firm, we applaud him on this well-deserved recognition.”
NAPABA is the nation's largest Asian Pacific American membership organization representing the interest of 60,000 attorneys, judges, law professors and law students. The Best Under 40 Award recognizes talented individuals within the Asian American Pacific Islanders legal community, under the age of 40, who have achieved prominence and distinction in their fields of endeavor while demonstrating a strong commitment to the Asian American Pacific Islanders civic or community affairs.
In his practice at Littler, Ng represents and advises private and public employers in various aspects of labor and employment law. He focuses on defending businesses and companies in employment litigation matters and wage and hour class and collective actions. In addition to his litigation practice, Ng regularly counsels employers on their workplace policies and practices for compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
In addition to his active membership in NAPABA, Ng currently serves as President-Elect of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY). He has earned industry recognition for his legal talent, including being recognized as a Top 40 Young Lawyer by the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, selection to the New York Metro Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers since 2014, and selection as a Diversity Fellow for the New York State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. Ng earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Binghamton University.
Additionally, Littler has been a long-time supporter of NAPABA and received the organization’s prestigious 2020 Law Firm Diversity Award. This award recognizes one law firm each year that “actively, affirmatively, consistently and enthusiastically recruit, retain and promote Asian Pacific American lawyers to equity partnership and firm leadership.”
