ASH FLAT, Ark. (Legal Newsline) -- A man is suing after losing his left arm in an auger.

Jason Yates filed a complaint on August 20 in the Circuit Court of Sharp County, Arkansas, against Ozark Mountain Poultry Inc. (OMP) and Robert C. Perkey for negligence.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 13, 2020, Yates, as an employee of Perkey, was paid to gather eggs and perform maintenance on Perkey's chicken houses. Yates alleges that on the day in question, a chain in an auger system broke. When going to fix it, Perkey allegedly flipped the switch and caused Yates to lose his left hand and arm.

Yates is represented by Jim R. Jackson.
