K&L Gates LLP issued the following announcement on Aug. 16.
Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Adam V. Orlacchio as a partner in the litigation and dispute resolution practice. He joins the firm’s Wilmington office from Blank Rome LLP.
Orlacchio advises clients on a wide range of complex commercial, corporate, and employment litigation matters and business issues, including breach of contract, fiduciary duty and corporate governance claims, shareholder disputes, alternative entity disputes, merger and acquisition disputes, business torts, products liability, mass torts, and restrictive covenants, among others. He counsels clients from pre-litigation through resolution in both state and federal courts throughout the U.S. Orlacchio has trial experience before Delaware’s Court of Chancery and the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and handles appeals to the Supreme Court for the State of Delaware and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He also has experience resolving litigation via alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration.
Orlacchio previously served as the Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association’s Litigation Section and recently completed his second term as a member of the Executive Committee of the Delaware State Bar Association. He regularly speaks and writes on issues related to Delaware corporate litigation and the unique complexities of practicing law in Delaware.
Melissa J. Tea, co-leader of K&L Gates’ litigation and dispute resolution practice area, commented: “We are excited to welcome Adam to K&L Gates’ litigation and disputes resolution practice. As a seasoned Delaware litigator with experience in a wide variety of business disputes, Adam will further strengthen our litigation capabilities in a very active jurisdiction and is well-positioned to grow his practice on our platform.”
Orlacchio’s arrival follows the addition of a number of other litigation partners to K&L Gates in the past year, including Daniel Glassman in Orange County; Barthélemy Cousin in Paris; Paul Eckles in Charleston; and Mitchell Kim in Los Angeles. They are among the nearly 90 new partners and of counsel who have joined K&L Gates since the beginning of 2020.
“Adam has the experience and maturity to hit the ground running in our very busy litigation practice and expand our ability to help existing and new clients with their litigation needs in Delaware,” said Scott E. Waxman, managing partner of K&L Gates’ Wilmington office.
