BOSTON (Legal Newsline) -- A former Boston University police officer is suing the school for discrimination and harassment.
Michelle Fotev filed a complaint on April 27 in Suffolk County Superior Court against the Trustees of Boston University a/k/a Boston University and Deputy Police Chief Robert Molloy.
According to the complaint, Fotev, a former sergeant with the Boston University Police Department, alleges having suffered pattern of smears, disparagement and retaliation harming her reputation and future employment prospects. Fotev alleges having filed multiple discrimination complaints and having been stalked by Molloy.
The incidents allegedly led Fotev to visit the university’s occupational health office. On May 22, 2019, Molloy placed an unsolicited, disparaging and defamatory call to the Pembroke Police Department conveying information about Fotev, she says.
Fotev alleges that Molloy continued to call the Pembroke Police Department to complain about her while continuing to harass her. Fotev says she left her position due to the stalking, discrimination and harassment on Sept. 13, 2019.
Fotev seeks damages, for the court to order the BUPD undergo training and to refrain from discrimination. Fotev is represented by Matthew A. Slater.
