LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Legal Newsline) -- A mother is suing an trampoline amusement park after her child allegedly was injured while playing.

Carla Anderson, Individually, and as parent of Quinton Dancy, Jr., a minor, filed a complaint on June 23 in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County against Little Rock Urban Air d/b/a Urban Air Adventure Park, UATP Management, UA Attractions and John Doe Companies A-Z for personal injury/premises liability, negligence and gross negligence.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 27, 2020, Anderson's son was at Urban Air Adventure Park, a trampoline park, in the “Jump, Duck, Dodge” attraction which was overcrowded.

The attraction allows people to jump on various trampolines while two mechanical arms pivot around in a 360 degree fashion. This attraction specifically requires children to attempt highly dangerous airborne acrobatic maneuvers, including jumping or flipping over the attraction’s rotating arm, including ducking or diving under it as it passes.

Anderson alleges that the employees of the park did not notify her son or anyone that the attraction was overcrowded and injury may result in being overcrowded. Anderson alleges her son suffered an injury while falling on a hard spot between landings that he could not see. Anderson alleges her son will forever have his growth stunted as a result of these injuries and has to undergo multiple surgeries on his hip.

Anderson seeks compensation, punitive damages, attorneys fees and cost of suit. Anderson is represented by Joseph Gates of  Gates Law Firm, PLLC, and Joshua D. Gillispie of Green & Gillispie.
