Shook Hardy Bacon LLP issued the following announcement on July 7.

Shook welcomes back Attorneys Justin Donoho, Chris Gramling and Camila Tobón. All three bring multiple years of combined Shook experience with distinguished experience gained from their previous engagements.

Justin Donoho returns as of counsel in the Business Litigation group and will be working from the Chicago office. Donoho is a commercial litigator with experience in defending clients in lawsuits commonly seeking millions or billions of dollars. His cases involve breach of contract, misrepresentation, negligence, financial services, insurance coverage, technology, data privacy, intellectual property, class actions, appeals and other complex issues. Before law school, Donoho earned a degree in computer engineering and served seven years as a manager and consultant to large international organizations, giving him hands-on business experience and technical knowledge that benefits clients. Donoho was recently at BakerHostetler.

Chris Gramling returns as partner in Kansas City in the Product Liability Litigation practice group. Gramling has an extensive background in complex litigation and focuses his practice on the defense of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in primarily product liability cases. Before rejoining Shook, Gramling served as assistant general counsel, head of Litigation and Legal Compliance at Eli Lilly and Company, where he led the team responsible for global general litigation, including product liability litigation, commercial litigation, class actions, state attorney general litigation, congressional inquiries and hearings, formal and informal federal and state agency inquiries, securities and shareholder litigation, Lanham Act litigation and TCPA litigation. He defeated and or successfully resolved several MDLs and mass torts and twice successfully opposed the creation of an MDL. Gramling also led global privileged investigations and civil justice reform efforts.

Camila Tobón returns as partner in the Intellectual Property group with a focus on privacy and data security. She will be located in Shook’s Denver office. Tobón assists clients with data protection compliance, cyber risk preparedness and information governance. Experienced in international privacy and data security matters, Tobón leverages her in-depth knowledge of data protection regulations worldwide to counsel clients on the compliant handling of personal data. Tobón is accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Fellow of Information Privacy, a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), a Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US), a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and a Privacy Law Specialist (PLS). Before her return to Shook, Tobón was with Davis Graham & Stubbs L.L.P, where she headed the Privacy and Data Security practice.
