NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) -- A woman claims a home health care service was negligent and caused the death of her father.
Renee Ferguson, administratrix of the estate of Emerson Holbert, deceased, filed a complaint on May 11 in New York County Supreme Court against Edison Home Health Care, LLC and Edison Liquidating, LLC for negligence, gross negligence and wrongful death.
According to the complaint, Holbert died on May 11, 2019, while in the care of Edison Home Health Care. Ferguson alleged that Holbert sustaining multiple pressure ulcers that required hospitalization and treatment and ultimately caused the untimely death. Ferguson alleges that Edison Home Health Care was negligent in preventing pressure ulcers, negligent in wound care administration, and negligent in the facilitation of proper healing.
Ferguson seeks compensation for damages, interests, costs, and disbursements and attorney’s fees. Ferguson is represented by Andrey Demidov of Alan Ripka and Associates, LLP.
