NELSON MULLINS: Brandon Neuman Appointed to University of North Carolina's Center for Banking and Finance Advisory Board

Brandon Neuman, partner in Nelson Mullins Raleigh office, has been elected to the Advisory Board at the University of North Carolina's (UNC) Center for Banking and Finance at the UNC School of Law.

The Board of Advisors provide leadership for the Center of Banking and Finance through representation of a financial institution, law firm, or other organization involved in banking and finance. Holding this title, Neuman will serve as an "ambassador" for the center providing guidance for its services to the legal and industry community supporting banking and finance.

Neuman focuses his practice on advising banks and other businesses on complex issues, ranging from strategic and risk management advice, crises management, regulatory and internal investigations, and high-stakes litigation.

Neuman works with the firm’s nationally recognized Financial Services Corporate and Regulatory (FinCorpReg) practice, through which he and the other attorneys in the group provide business-oriented solutions for banks and financial services clients on corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters. In recent months, the group has greatly expanded its talent pool, with the additions of Neuman, Richard Levin, and Kevin Tran. Levin, partner and chair of the FinTech and Regulation Practice in the Denver office, is one of the first lawyers to focus on the regulation of blockchain and digital assets. He is considered a thought leader in the FinTech space. Tran, of counsel in the Nashville office, focuses on matters related to financial regulatory, FinTech, corporate and securities issues and previously served as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Director for Policy at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. after advancing from policy analyst and policy adviser roles in the Capital and Regulatory Policy Group in the Division of Supervision and Regulation.
