Littler Mendelson PC issued the following announcement on Apr. 30.
Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Thomas S. Grow as special counsel in its Memphis office. Grow joins from FedEx Express Corporation, where he served as a managing director of labor and employment law.
“Tom has an impressive background in labor relations and employment law – including over 16 years of experience as an in-house lawyer,” said Tanja Thompson, Littler’s office managing shareholder in Memphis. “That perspective, along with his business-minded approach and practical guidance on workplace issues, will make him a valuable member of our labor practice both locally and nationally.”
Grow’s experience includes contract negotiations, arbitrations, labor disruption advice and counseling and contingency planning, defending union organizing campaigns, and employment law compliance advice and counseling. At FedEx, he served as a legal advisor to a broad cross-section of company stakeholders, and developed solutions to achieve organizational business and legal objectives.
“I am thrilled to join Littler, the preeminent name in labor and employment law,” Grow said. “I have had the privilege of working with a number of Littler’s talented attorneys during my time at FedEx, and I was consistently impressed with the quality and creativity of their work as well as the firm’s commitment to innovation and exemplary client service.”
Grow earned his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law, his M.I.L.R. from Cornell University, and his B.A., cum laude, from Washington and Lee University.
