Román D. Hernández, managing partner of Troutman Pepper’s Portland office, was recently appointed by Chief U.S. District Judge Marco Hernández to serve on the Merit Selection Panel for a United States Magistrate Judge in Portland.
Hernández joins 13 committee members selected to help review applications for the upcoming vacancy, following Magistrate Judge John V. Acosta’s retirement. After conducting interviews, the panel will recommend five qualified applicants.
“It is an honor to serve on this committee given the importance of its work,” Hernández said. “I look forward to working with the committee to identify the top candidates for this judicial vacancy.”
